Definitions of 6σ
  1. Statistical Definition
   - Statistically, six sigma means 3.4 defects out of 1 million opportunities
   - Pr (X>USL) + Pr (X

* In the short term, 3σ double the standard deviation of 6σ, which leads to 20,000 times more defects. This means that the process deviation is important as a standard for determining whether the process can stably generate products.

6σ is a methodology developed to establish an approach to solving problems. 

Different 6σ processes are used for manufacturing and R&D areas.
